New key board after Triton Le

Post by rajieve »

Hi Friends,
I'm proud owner of Triton Le from western India mostly playing live.
getting in very odd situation when chenging one combi to another and sound cuts mercilessly.
can any body suggest what must be the wrong on my part?
Is it common problem with Le?
then what other keyboard i should switch to ?
I have created very good pcg file on le and it sound great except the problem of cutting sound. :(
any help from forum would be apriciated.
thanks for your attantion

Sorry to tell you, but the sound will always cut off when switching from combi to combi. Prog to prog it sustains, but you often get velocity/volume jumps. AFAIR the Combi-cutoff is common for every KORG keyboard available (even Oasys methinks, not sure though), and it's *not* a fault/error.

This may sound stupid but it's just an idea I have.

Instead of using the IFX in the Korg, you could run your Korg through an effects loop in a rack unit like the Rocktron I use, set up the midi to change with each combi and thus, your reverb effect would carry over through the patch change, thus minimizing this problem.
