Believe it or not, my favourite is a piano version of a song I wrote. The demo tune i wrote for vocal assault is so nice played on piano alone that I play it all the time.

Regards
Sharp.

Well, piano is my main instrument, and I've always loved to play Pointer Sisters - I'm So Excited. Love that riff. Oh, and Maroon 5 - This Love.

Catherine of Aragon from Rick Wakeman (Six Wives of Henry VIII). It isn't very hard, but impresses the hell outta anyone hearing you play it.

I was in a band that did a cover of Pull Me Under by Dream Theater and that was hard, but fun.

In my current band Don't Stop Believing always gets the crowd excited and is simple fun.

it was difficult to learn.. but when I was in my old band I think that metropolis by dream theater was a song that I really loved to play, it was a good challenge at first but the instrumental part is really incredible due to the changing of sounds and styles.

My favorite pieces to play are classical (piano)
Chopin nocturnes Eb Major, Db Major, Fantasie-Impromptu
& Chopin Etude in C Minor which is so hard to play it kills the fingers.

Ha, we tried Metropolis too. But all of the changes weren't cutting it on the two boards (workstations) I was using at the time. And I don't read notation (read: I got lost somewhere after the middle...ha ha). We edited parts out, but that still wasn't good enough. So we folded and did Pull Me Under.

Pull me under is another great tunes to play live, it's easier but people always like it a lot!
I've seen krazy78 talk about classical music... well I think that what I like to play more on the piano is the prelude in C#minor by Rachmaninov cos the Scherzo in Bb minor by Chopin I love to play is too difficult for me and I spend too much energy to play it so it's not something I like to play... wow, too much beer this evening.... hope I wrote something different from EngRish

I agree about Rachmaninof, that prelude is amazing!
I love to play Chopin's Nocturnes, not so hard to play, but they are able to put a smile in your face and in your heart when you play them.
Well, Debussy is my cup of tea talking about emotions and scapes...
Beethoven is great for the energy in his Sonatas.

Classical music is full of great pieces, you just need to be able to play them

The Nice's (Keith Emerson) Intermezzo from Karelia. This also impresses the hell out of an audience.
