I think you're right, Dee, we should do a choral collaboration by the end of osam 08

So I'll be the only one singing the HIGH notes then.... :?

What a strange choir we'll be..... at least I'll get a whole track to myself in the recording 8)

Good call, I was thinking how much the guitar part in the "chorus" shows that I've absorbed Wonderstuff and Manic Street Preachers stylings through years of listening.

Two completely awesome bands. I suspect George would get a kick out of some of the earlier Wonderstuff releases.

Hey, Wonderstuff was the group I've been trying to think of, because I never got them on cd back when, now that you mentioned them I went online and ordered a cd for 8.99 from amazon for the red and pink cd, with that strawberry song, i forget the name at the moment, but i used to listen to them all the time. I discovered them along with the Lime Spiders who I still love as well.

My problem now is that I have collected so much music and put it as mp3s on my 60 gig Gigabeat S, that now I have to figure out how to listen to all this music. I have like 40 gig used up at this point and I have just about every song I ever had on record or cassette or my favs from the radio from years gone by. Rock/Latin/Jazz/Classical. Most I have the cds for and they're packed away in boxes. It's great having all this music available but how do you ever get to sit and listen to all these tunes? I end up just browsing and skipping to the next song. I know some don't like mp3s, but I do rip them at a fairly high bitrate and it sure beats luggin around about 5000 cds.

...and that monosynth towards the end is f****** brilliant!

I don't know how you do it Daz but your music always has balls, no matter keyboard, guitar or vocals.

Hi Daz,

Sorry I am late to the jam. I tip all my hats off to you (and I have many!) for being a one man band w/vocals!! I find it brutally challenging since there is only me - one mind - one thought process - no other "input" to the idea pipe in.

I can't comment on how to record vocals, but I have done battle with recording the bass. Now I know why people build sound proof studio's around their favorite amp and mic it!

Hey, you have a singing voice (some of us just don't). Maybe your off to a new career

I like Jon's structural analysis of your tune and his comments. Umm .. no singing from Art though - trust me - that will be a good thing!

Sorry I' ve been absent several days. This is wonderful and exciting. I never heard anything but keys from you before this. You voice is good and your nerve to do it priceless. I hope you do more vocal pieces. Doing drums on top of it is amazing. Thanks brother!

You guys are pushing for vocals.... I not sure I want to open that pandora box. I hope some collaboration is done in this OSAM. It truly opens the door for a unique blend of genius. Doing it on the internet just makes it so much kooler. This OSAM is tremendous (that means you guys and Gal)!

Keep pushing the envelope!

Hey now ! THIS sounds like you ! I think this is your style. I like this on you. You wear it very well and it seems totally natural. Nice vocals! You have a good voice dude. :) Refine this style and I think you have a home run. Congratulations ! In fact, I think I'll go listen to it again...

Cheers,
Susan
