Korg M1R versus Korg M1R-EX

Post by belmontdrew »

Anyone know how important it is to get a regular M1R (rack mount version of the M1) versus the expanded ROM version - the M1R-EX??

Is is a bunch of extra sounds that are essential or does it just add more of an ability to "mix" sounds in combinations??

As far as I know, the EX edition has a ROM twice the size of the standard edition.
So yeah... it's much better as in it can produce more and better sounds.

Check out KORG's Digital Legacy Collection too.
It contains the M1r EX and every single Program and PCM card every made for it.

Regards.
Sharp.
