I am not from Afghanistan, but I hope a reply from Corfu in Greece will still be welcome. The biggest differences between the Pa2x and the Pa800 are as follows:
Pa2x has dual MP3 recorder as standard, this is an optional extra on Pa800.
Pa2x has Hard Disk fitted as standard, this is an optional extra on Pa800.
Pa2x has 76 keys that are higher quality than the 61 keys on the Pa800.
Pa2x has many enhanced sounds and styles that are not on the Pa800, the most notable being the Grand Piano RX which is superb and has damper resonance and pdal FX noises when you press the damper.
Pa2x has a strong metal case with wood ends. Pa800 case is plastic.
Pa2x has 9 additional hardware sliders, the Pa800 has to use the touch screen sliders.
Pa2x has extra buttons for controlling vocals/ harmony and muting.
Pa800 has built in amplifier and speakers, the Pa2x requires external amplifier and speakers.
Pa2x is longer and heavier than the Pa800.
Pa2x costs about 1,000 Euros more than the Pa800
Thanks for the great informative comparison. Well I listened to the guys and bought a pa800. But now im having doubts. For $900 more I could have bought the pax2pro. Reasons why I bought the PA800.
I really wanted to just power it up and start playing rather then hooking it up to my gear. The speaker option on PA800 is great if you just want to start playing. Problem that im not facing is that PA800 does not have the phantom power on board. Most of my mics are pro mics and they most require phantom power. Another feature I overlooked on the pa800. Most likely I will return it with 15% restocking fee.
I should have read the forum carefully. OH well you live and learn.
here is a complete set of my beats which i ve made for my I30, i think its pretty cool, my nephew loaded into his PA80, it sounded very good..
its a complete set, that i used to use them in my programs...
its FREE for you'll
i hope you can use them...
all you have to do is change the drum kits , percussion kits and some of the accomp sound to your personal taste and you should be ok..
First of all I woud like to thank you for sharing you i30 styles with every1 and also thank you for sharing some other indian samples you had.
I downloaded your i30 styles and looked at them, you said YOU HAVE USED these same ones in live programs, being a big fan of you I would say I am pretty disappointed that such a great muscian of ours is using these ordinary styles that a 5 year old kid can make in 5 minutes!! I am sure others would agree with me!
I guess Ahmadi (the person who initiated this thread) is Right about our muscians!
I am not intending to offend you in anyway but I am sure you dont use those yourself!
Now if we keep doing this instead of helping eachother by sending something that is atleast good enough so that others can learn some new techniques we send garbage then everybody will remain s**t!
This is just my honest opinion if anybody disagrees I would like to hear from them!
I hate to take side but I would have to disagree with you. Qader Jaan plays music for a living while the rest of us play it as a hobby or are in the process of becoming something. Its unfair for him to give out his professional sets that he plays in live performances and have everyone else to compete with him at the same time. Its not even being sense of competition but rather getting his sets worn out. Qader Jaan is known for being a great composer/keyboard player. On the other hand I think it would not hurt Qader jaan to give out some of his old stuff that he has played on profressional flatform. I doubt that any one of us would give out sets that we put in weeks or even months and then for someone else to just sound just as pro as the next guy. What I think Qader Jaan should do is give us guidance as our leader in this sector. I hope I did not offend anyone but this is just the way I see it.
I think both of these guys shared, its just a matter of what they wanted to share. This is a forum for knowlodge sharing on how to make your arranger work. Yet we have guys who still go beyond their needs and share their personal sets. I have gotten so much help from Fahim Jan that I can't thank him enough. I think it would just make things a bit strange if we just started putting these guys who are pros down because they don't want to give us their personal sets. I agree with all of us sharing but they don't see it the way you and I do. This is their life, if I started sounding exactly like Qader Jaan then there would be no need for him as much would there. Again this is the way they think. I have many professional musician friends and I understand their concern. More importantly were not suppose to all sound the same and have same beats and styles. Once I master this PA800 thats if I keep it I will bring you guys good stuff I promise. Its just a matter of time. In the mean time I will share somethign with you that will put a smile on your face.
Afghans do share!! Fahim Jaan and I will make sure of that lol!!!!!!
salam! i agree with you guys, if some body want to share some afghani beats ,then share please some thing good not garbage? our famouse musicans here in this forums have alot of good sets exept there own set which they play in concerts. but they dont even share those sets which they dont use.
If they are purposely sharing crappy beats then that is a shame. It defeats the purpose of their involvement on the forums. The whole idea is for them to learn and for us to learn. Not for them to misguide anyone. Well look at the bright side. The more crappy beats they share the more pros we will get by learning it ourselves. A true artist will always be confident in his ability to produce better and newer material. If they think they have found the holy-grail through one or couple of sets then that’s their mistake. Sad part is most Afghans think that if they just have one good set they will be pros, it takes more than a set to be a great artist. Unfortunately even our so called professionals sometimes get trapped by this thinking and starts performing with same set in all functions and weddings. That’s all you will ever be, a wedding singer. Think outside the box and you will make a name for yourself if that is what your goal is.
Okay, me go play Anar Gul Dana Dana now. I will be famous with this song one day! lol
I read on one of the posts where he said he would be busy until June-July. And as far as bad beats I have yet to get anything from him. I think when it comes to getting beats its important to get the set along with the drum kit. Most guys have great sets but they don't have the kit to go with it from what I understand.
Ahmadi jan i don't have a set but i can help you with samples or yamaha Psr rythems. My email is naw33d@hotmail.com This is not to only Ahmadi jan if any one eles needs them or wants to swap with me feel free to send me a mail. i would be happy to send them to you.
