I'm not in front of pa800 but I think that you must go to sound mode, then press record, then press menu and select "multisamples" then you press on the upper right of the screen and choose import. Find the .KMP file and load it. Then save it with the "write" option and you have the multisample. I believe that's the way...
The Harmonium sound has several KMP files, I believe one for each keyboard range. I'd like to know whether I can find a tutorial how to re-attach each KMP on each range.chrisgr wrote:I'm not in front of pa800 but I think that you must go to sound mode, then press record, then press menu and select "multisamples" then you press on the upper right of the screen and choose import. Ok, this got so confusing for certain user that they wont even be able to use it.
Long ago i think Fahim or someone gave me samples of Harmonium and i
created it in KONTAKT forma but after that i forgot. In the next few days i
will create it straight in a PA800 format where all you do is just hit LOAD.

Hello Nedim:
Glad to hear from you. In the last post of the AFG Music, he uploaded the Harmonium sounds in Korg KMP and PCG format and believe me, I did try to load them but just unable to save them where I wanted them. I guess I just do not know how to load PCG nor KMP files the correct way. I have asked you this question of " how load PCG to Pa800" and to add it to your Tutorial section and yes, you did ask me to remind you but I guess I forgot. Hope you could make an easy and better way to load these Harmonium sounds into Pa800. I thank you from the bottom my heart for your always support and help. Be in touch and take care
Best Regards,
Fahim,

Fahim,
Hi from the top of my head I think you have to import the multisamples in sound record mode...
Then exit record mode and go to sound mode, you can choose an existing sound like accordion that sounds similar to harmonium or make a completely new sound....
say you choose accordion then change the sample source to ram and use the harmonium multisample u just loaded from ram, then after that change some effects and other setting to make it sound the way u want it then save the new sound!
Then exti sound record mode

Kanishka wrote:Yes Kanishka jan that is what I have done already. It just does not sound right. I guess I must tweak in and change here and there. I wish I had the time. Hope someone could come up with a good step by step direction or just make it easy for everyone to load and use.....sehasafade12 wrote:BasariStudios wrote:Ok, this got so confusing for certain user that they wont even be able to use it.

Hi Fahim,
Have you followed this step by step guide on sound creation/ modification? This will get you started and you can apply many of the same ideas when tuning the harmonium samples to make good sounds for the Pa2x/ Pa800. I am sorry that I don't have time to do the job for you at the moment. It will probably take you 2 to 3 days to get the samples loaded and balanced properly to make nice sounds. You need samples to be taken at least every 4 semitones. If the harmonium recording is playing several notes spread over several octaves, then it needs to be broken up into individually pitched samples before you can use it. Each pitched sample needs to be topped and tailed and given an ADSR envelope (Attack Decay Sustain Release) and appropriate EFX applied. Its a lotta work and writing it up would take about a week's work.

One thought - I could write personalised guides on specific subjects (eg like this) requested by members of the forum. But I'd want some way of recovering the time spent. If anyone wanted to come to my villa in Corfu and do some hard labour eg brick laying and gardening for a week, then in return I'd spend my time writing whatever books and tutorials you want!
