Look through http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=33835 - I think pg2 has the answer + the manual.

The answer is yes.
Just assign VOLUME to a knob and it will control the assigned program's volume, as in Combi C-96 where knob one controls the string volume.

Has anyone figured a workaround to get this to happen for more than one program?
e.g. if you wanted all four knobs to work seperately..

or is that possible with the midi filter section. My TR is out of action at the moment, but I think that is the way it works?

Yeah - thats the important bit. I think you would set the knob(s) you want to 'master volume', 'volume' or to 'expression', and then in the controls section (is that one of the PRM pages?), you set the program you want to control so that it is ticked for that knob e.g. KB1, and then untick all the others so they do not respond to that knob.
I feel some nice pipe organ combis coming on... :p

Jon
To dynamically control the volume of an individual Program (or a set of Programs) in a Combi do the following:

[Using the "Select" button to the right of the volume slider, make sure that you have selected "B" as the Realtime Control affected by the knobs.]

1. Go to Combi 2.2:Ed-Cntrl and set an assignable knob (e.g., Knob 1) to "Volume (CC#7)."

2. Go to Combi 4.3: Ed-Midi Filter and on the row boxes under "Realtime Control Knob 1" (or whatever knob you changed to "Volume (CC#7)" uncheck the box for each of the Programs that you do NOT want the knob to control; i.e., leave checked only the Program(s) you want to dynamically control with that knob.

With this setup, when you turn the assigned Realtime Knob to the right the Program you selected to dynamically control gets louder; and quieter when you turn it to the left.

You can control the volume on a second Program (or set of Programs) in the Combi by selecting "Expression CC#11" for another knob (e.g., Knob 2) and checking or unchecking the boxes in Combi 4:3 for another knob.

I've seen other posts in this Forum that say you can control the volume of a third Program in a Combi by setting one of the knobs to "FX-Cntl" and running only the Program(s) you want to control with this knob through the IFX [Combi 7.1]. I haven't had much luck making this work well; but I'm sure there is a way to do it.

Hope this helps.
