Getting the padKontrol pads to light up while clip is active

Post by pajhonka »

Hi,
I'm trying to use a Korg padKontrol to trigger clips in Ableton. In the padKontrol editor, they are all set to Toggle, but when I press the pads, it looks momentary. Any idea what settings I'd need to tweak to get the leds to stay lit while a clip is active? Thanks!

need the same thing
the only way i think to have it working like this is to switch to native mode and reconfigure the padkontrol
i've not yet tried it (seems a bit complicated) . but if i manage to have a good config in native mode i'll post it here.

As far as I am aware the PadKontrol doesn't support this in it's firmware. You might have to find a peice of KORG Native Mode middleware to help you do this.

Any links to go with this answer? I am want to use www.vvvv.org with my Nano Kontroll, and it would be awesome if I could send some command to lit the LEDs!! Do-able in C#?
