HI, :P :D :P
You can lose your warranty, and I do not think that they will sand to you the "part" with out to test your KB in there LAB, and it is sane,
-isn't it?
Sorry for you,

Hi Wisha,

This is how you check to see if your sample RAM is working OK. If it is faulty you will get a free replacement from your Korg dealer if you follow the procedure mentioned here:

Post by wisha »

thanks for replaying..
i know how to check the ram, problem is that i baught the keyboard from ebay from Germany, the seller sendt me the keyboard with out cabel, CD, manual book, anyway i had a computer cabel and started the keyboard, as i load the **.Set files, the sampling stuff didnt work, and i checked that there was ram problem, i contac the seller and he asked me to send the keyboard, i sent the keyboard and the seller didnt accept it, because he had to pay for the import tax and etc stuff, now the seller does not answer my mail, my telephone nor email, the keyboard is in lagger with UPS, its been three months, and for me its not easy to go to Germany and it may not help with police and those stuff either, i dont know what to do, only one thing as i search for the sulotions, in google i found this farum, and i asked if its possible to change the RAM by myself, i know my item has got three years of warranty, i contac the KORG dealer here in norway, they denied to help me with that, because i baught that from Germany,

i dont know what to do, really stress full, because i have paied too much money for keyboard, its shipment to norway and its shipment back to germany,,,,,
any other way you guys can show me please, i will be thank full

with best regards

Hi Wisha,

If you do not want to pay the import tax the seller has incurred in Germany, then I suggest you contact UPS and the customs in Germany and provide proof that you bought the keyboard via Ebay, and that you are returning it to the seller for warranty repair, after which it will be returned to you again. Normally the customs will respond OK if you provide the right paperwork.

You will probably also have to pay the cost of shipping back to Norway. It will all take time. I am sorry for you, but there are often complications when importing second hand goods from another country.

HI- :P

As I have seen a PA800 open [In a LAB!], I think that if you know to work technical, [like when assembling desktop computer] and you will recognize where is the old part [you can try if you will have, and see the new one…].
So- you can.
Here is a link that maybe can help you, to open the KB.
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... ht=#210720
But how will you have the new part with out to pay for it?
SORRY FOR YOU
AVI.

Don't do it. Even if you are a highly skilled electronics technician with the right surface mount de-soldering equipment, you will still probably wreck your keyboard. It's something only a Korg repair center can do. They can get the right replacement parts. You can not. Better to pay Korg in Sweden to do it for you.

ROB giving you the good right advice. :!:

I have just answered if you can or not! 8)

I think that it will better to hear to what that ROB advising to you, you never know how things will grow, go in the safe way.
And you did not answer- how will you have the new part with out to pay for it?
If you will have it from Korg in Sweden way not to give them to do the work, and have a good warranty for that work! :?:

Wisha,

It's nice to hear that the seller is a responsible person. This will be the cheapest option all round, even if you have to pay the shipping costs.
