You can't be much more new to this than me

Post by taohansen »

Hello everyone.

I've been a consumer of music for a long time and am just now looking at making it. Living in a city like Seattle, it's hard not to be inspired by all the great stuff I'm exposed to everyday.

I started listening to a lot of 8-bit last year. A few months ago a friend recommended I listen to Crystal Castles and ever since I haven't been able to get enough. I found out Ethan Kath—one of the band's members—uses a microKORG and that began my interest in KORG in general.

The result of this interest in KORG is that I think I've found my beginning instrument: the Kaossilator. Now all I need to do is learn music. Maybe some of you reading this might help suggest how I begin. I've put the question out there under General Music here.
