Hello everybody.
I have a big problem with the Pa80 flash cards; and that is, I can not delete any sample from that or rename the styles. Seems that you can only write data on it!!!
But I am sure that there is a way to delete the samples ( on a unlocked flash) to open up some room for your further sample recordings because the staff of the Korg company (they are two guys) in Tehran can do this.
If you can provide me with the answer I will give you some precious packages ( Flash programs), High quality samples, ...etc.
I am not jocking.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Khashayar,
unfortunately that is the way it is... As far I know its not possible to just delete samples from the card. the only way to do it is format the card and start again... it has been discussed many times here on the forum.
if there is some secret way of deleting samples I would love to know..
All the best

I am new to Korg myself but I think I know the answer to your questions. Firstly, I do not think there is a way to save individual styles to the flash card. But there is a way to get around it. First you have to use the disk menu and "Load" the "AUTOLOAD.SET" from the flash card into the keyboard. Once the set is in the keyboard, you can make all your changes, for example change the styles' names, etc. Once you have all the changes done, they you can go to the disk menu again and choose the "save" option. When you choose that option, you can choose to save to the flash card. You can either over write the existing "AUTOLOAD.SET" on the card, or you can save it on the card under a differnt name.
You may know that the AUTOLOAD set can be reached by pressing the left side button on the "Styles" section until both the upper and lower lights are on. Then you press the number 10 key. It will give you the first page of styles from the "AUTOLOAD" set. Then you keep pressing the number 10 button to see all the six pages of styles in the"AUTOLOAD" set.
Now regarding deleting samples from the flash card, I do not know if it is possible to delete them individually. However, you can over write them with new samples. By samples I mean over write with different "programs". For example, if you have a sample that is part of a "SET" on a diskette that you like, you can go to the menu, then choose the load option. Then go to the diskette and use "Open" from the menu to open the folders until you get to the "program" that you like. You can then save it in one of the user banks. Once the desired program is stored in the user bank, you can go to "programs" on the left side of the keyboard and open the "program". Then choose "Write Disk In Use". It will give you the otion to chhose where you want to write it to. You can turn the wheel and you will see it shows you locations in the user banks as well as locations on the flash card to "write" the program. So that is how you can over write to the flash card.
Good luck
