Connecting the wrong AC/AC power supply. Need help

Post by gemini_mouse »

Sorry for my bad English.

I purchased the TR61 one week ago at America and the first time i connect the adaptor in wrong power supply. I didn't notice the adaptor use 120V and i connected it in 220V and turn on the TR, so the main LCD was lighted and after a second it down. My dumb :(

After checking, I see the fuse and IC43 was blown out, i fix the fuse, remove the IC43 and turn the TR on again, only the main LCD was on, nothing operate, the LCD show nothing unless the light. The chipset IC25 " Korg MB87F1710 TGL96 0745 252 E1 " was very hot after 4 - 5 seconds.

My country don't have any dealer of Korg, so I was unable fix it, impossible to contact the technical support unless I bring it to other country.

I am clueless, can't do anything with my TR now. I need your idea very much.

Thanks

I did the same thing and i can tell you that i burned two processors and all memory chips so i had to pay 350 euros to fix it... in my country there isn't real korg support but there are people who fix those kind of things, try if some of dealers know someone...

I gave the mainboard to the electrician and hope they can find another IC with the same function but it's very difficult to work well - I think so. So are there anyone have the schematic of the TR61, i really really appreciate your help.
Here are some pictures of the mainboard, anyone have an idea ?

hello.
I have the schematic, but you will need to change the 3 IC (ic12/ic16/ic27)
and the roms (IC7/IC8/IC45/IC46) and repair the power supply.

you will spend more or less 300 dollar

give me your email for the schamtic
