Hi Terry,

I noticed the stuff on PA80 site but those only support the styles/sounds present on the cards. The grooves/sounds on the card are the items I want; which are present in the backupfile of the card. Anyone with a RealDrum/Turk card can make a backupfile so I hope someone is generous enough to help me! ;D

Greetings,

Arjen

Hey
I have the Arabic Card, and I tried once to back up the data. you could back up the Styles and the programs, and save them to user styles or programs...... surprise. surprise..... the programs would not work without the card. aparrantly it has new SAMPLES, the feeds the programs and the drum kids. Yes and I tried to chose different drum kids to get it to sound right but did not work... yea KORG they know what they're doing and they dont want people to go around copying the Styles and programs. the Drum kids seem to have a different maping than the ORiginal PA 80.
Oh by the way, how did your friend manage to delete the styles on the Arabic Card, I tried but its right copy protected, you cant delete, and you cant reformate, even you cant modify anything. if you have to modify something you have to copy it to User styles and work there. ;) ;)

Basem

Basem,

If you can backup the styles, then you should be able to convert the styles to multitrack "collected" files using Kat2000, and/or reassign the tracks to Arabian Percussion 1 or 2 (or whatever), and re-import them.

(You can even reassign the tracks from within KAT)

If there is some sort of discrepancy, you can open the file in SONAR and look at the various parameters there.

Just a suggeston, but it might just work (you might have to tweak the percussion voices to get it to sound right....)

Chuck

Back it up and do send me a copy!

Greetings,

Arjen

Hot to backup ( the procedure)

Post by kooroshi70 »

Hi buddy

I learn you how to back it up. So after you'll done send me a copy to vdsr81@yahoo.com. Thanks

1- Put the Arabic/ Turkish world card into the keyboard.
2- Go to the card backup menu. ( as you can see the "backup" is off)
3- Now pull the card out of keyboard and then put it in again.
(you'll see a point goes on, on the display)

4- In this point backup option is still "off" but try and push that button ( Backup) . If you have a hard disk installed, you'll see that backup starts.

Have fun. Good luck
