Hi All,
At the outset, let me thank the forum for a wonderful job for aspiring musicians like me. I am basically a hobbyist and do some live shows. I have recently purchased a Korg PA 50, upgrading from a PSR 510. I like the PA 50 (especially the tabla - Indian music must have percussion) and find the sounds good. However, it's a little too heavy to carry, does not have a sampler and i find the keybed a little flimsy. I have an opportunity to buy a year old TR 61 for a good price. I have a few queries on which I need some help:
1. Is it worth buying the TR which i believe has the same triton soundset as my PA?
2. I am buying the TR more for the sampler and the arpeggiator (alongwith the ability to control the sound better with knobs - this is cumbersome on my pa as it does not have knobs)
3. Should I rather wait, save up and buy a Pa 800 (sounds like the ultimate machine to me)
4. For the price of a Pa 800, i could also get the Motif XS 6
ok, now I know buying a keyboard depends on the use one has for it. Well, I am not a professional musician but would like to have 2 keyboards that can encompass styles, arpeggiator and sampler and of course great sound. Any suggestions?

Adding a TR61 to your PA-50 would be a good thing, expecially because one keyboard can do things that other one deoesn't.
To have a wider sound palette I'd suggest you an used Triton Extreme 61, a little more expensive but at least 7 - 8 times more powerful than a TR.

Life without music would be a mistake
