Electribe MIDI Connection

very good topic! i need some help about this
i've synchronized emx (slave) to live7 mac (master) via ozone midi controller... but as the song plays, i realize that the bpms are not exactly the same... would it be better to invert the configuration, using emx as master and live7 as slave? is it possible via ozone? or other way...

Ableton
Hi guys, could the more experienced chaps here compile a simple tutorial for Ableton Live + Electribes?
There's loads of different posts and would be great to compile into one single sticked post.
I'm an advanced Live user but just got my ESX-1...I'm trying to use it as a master and have Live to play alongside it, controlled by a BCR-2000....
I have my ESX-1 as Int and Live as slave, I can see the lights flashing (meaning it is receiving signal) but it's no synched...
Thanks for the help,

Microkorg sounds
Hi!
I'm writing because I couldn't find an answer in this thread..
I have a Microkorg (slave) and an EMX (master) which I've linked with Midi cables. I can play the EMX's synth sounds just fine with the MK's keys but I'd like to play the MK's own voices on my EMX songs. How do I do this?
Thanks in advance!
Note, I'm a midi-noob so please, don't be mad at me

frosty, make sure you have your emx and mk master/slave settings right witch u have then connect one cable running from emx out - to - mk in, make sure your sample is turned off in part edit on the tribe then you should be sequencing your mk through your tribe.....i do the same with my esx and mk, I dunno know why though I've noticed some qauntise problems when you forget to turn sample off in part edit on the tribe....some usefull pointers in this thread had never really bothered to check cc setings between microkorg and tribes, had no idea that they were so similar...

What I'm looking at doing one of these days (if its possible) is somehow connect up my esx/emx/amk2.....and mc909 to my daw (live7), via a midisport router and recieve program change messages via the daw, currently i use my mc909 to sequence a korg triton rack cause of its pollyphonic capabilities, and the esx sequences a nord lead 2 rack the emx uses one of its keyboard parts to sequence a novation a-station....and the amk2 just sits in the cupboard these days...lol, i realise this may all seem a lil backwards though i would like to have some type of controll over all of my "grooveboxs" eg. program change, maybe evan a few things like the filters and few other paramiters etc. via my DAW, I don't have a router yet but is this possable with one ...??, Thanks in advance...!!

Hi. I'm toying with the idea of picking up an E-mu Xboard 25 to MIDI to my EA-1 mkII in order play lead and bass lines more cleanly than I can from the step key buttons. Anyone care to share their personal impressions of Electribe played from a keyboard; you know, tips, tricks, horror stories, pleasant surprise, so forth. Also, the X-board is my choice because of its design and battery power capability. If anyone thinks there is a better keyboard controller, out there, do tell! . . .
Thanks, in advance . . .

(I tried to start a post with this, but then thought maybe it belonged in here...sorry if this isn't right)
Hello all,
I tried to find a thread that already addressed this issue and couldn't, so sorry in advance if this has been answered somewhere else.
I am using an Edirol PCR M30 to control my Electribe MX1, and am wondering if it is possible to assign the CC numbers in my midi controller to control the transport panel (play, stop, rewind) on the MX1 somehow. The MX1 buttons are not listed as having control numbers in the manual, and I haven't been able to locate these particular ones listed in any kind of midi literature.
Also, would this need to be some other type of message other than a control change message in order to work right? Is that why I am not finding them?
I have been trying to educate myself about this so far, but have come up short. I am more experienced with software, so usually I am more used to having the transports just talk to each other, and not having to set it!

Keepin it Simple
Hi All,
Another MIDI noobifier here.
I started following Setsonics' simple instructions. I am linking up an Electribe with an MS2000. I'm not sure which one would be best as master and which as slave.
I am trying to do something simpler. I do not want one device to play notes on the other device. All I want to do is make them both play at exactly the same tempo, so the arpeggiators are locked into the beats etc.
I have tried a few times before but cannot get the slave to take clock sync tempo from the master...
Can anyone give me step by step instructions for a dummy?
Cheers
