that was me! the code i posted on the site you linked to is horribly sloppy (it's been a few years since i've done anything, and i've never worked w/ midi before)....

but there will be a better version up soon, i've got most of it all worked out and now it plays 32 scales in whatever key you want, just like to kaossilator.

he was asking if instead of reworking the code on the computer doing it all internally

writing a new os for the kp3 that includes the kaossilator function to control a synth

Damn...hell if I would have that knowledge, I'd just do it despite Korg paying me or not. KP3 can be so much more but gods forbid if Korg was to push the envelope here.

It would be so cool to find a network of KP3 fans that figured out how to crack the KP3 os and devote a site to it. Well, here"s to dreaming....

yeah, i too would do it if i had a clue how; as it is i think when i am done this will be easy enough to use...

what other things would you like to see done with the KP3? i'd love to help expand it anyway i could, but it's probably going to have to be thru a midi translator as that is stretching the limits of my knowledge as it is, unfortunately.

my newer version of this is way better implemented, btw, i'll be posting it when it's complete!

so far this code has worked automatically with everything i've tried it with.

what virtual midi router are you using? are you sure you're routing the midi data correctly (IE, from kp3 -> bome's MT -> fruityloops) ? taking the direct midi data from the kp3 won't work.

but yeah i don't have fruityloops so i can't say exactly.... this thing even works on other hardware though so it should be a simple error on your part hopefully.

also make sure yr in external controller mode (shift + 8 on the KP3)
