Styles are now available from Stalian87!
Hello everyone.
First of all I would like to thank Sharp for giving me the opportunity to put my styles onto his site for everyone to grab hold of.
I also want to thank everyone in this forum who has supported my work that i've been doing on the pa1x pro.
This link will take you to the site where you can download the styles:
http://www.irishacts.com/ezypal/index.p ... _libraries
Within a few hours of this post there should be 16 styles available to you. Sharp is working hard in uploading them right now.
The styles are:
That's Life
Me And Mrs Jones
Moondance
Fever
I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
Pretty Woman
Kingston Town
Red Red Wine
I Just Wanna Make Love To You
Simply The Best
Lady In Red
My Girl
On The Beach
Besame Mucho
Johnny Be Good
Staying Alive
There is a demo of each one so you can listen to what they would sound like.
Also, enclosed with the style is a detailed document explaining how to best play the style.
Hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll be uploading some Italian Styles too, but only if there is any demand. Please let me know if that would interest you.
I hope you have lot's of fun in playing my styles.
Kind regards,
Sal (Salvatore)

Salvatore,
amazing talent! Very high quality styles (or should I rather say "Arrangements" ?).
The nicest part of it is that lissening to them it is easy to think to use those style for different songs!
About Italians interest: I'm Italian, leaving in Rome, 60 years, hobbist (now...), I believe that so many Italian Korgers would be VERY interested to your lovely styles. You know, is "Ferragosto" (for non Italian members of the Forum: mid summer holidays: Italy is pratically closed!!!), and few Italians are on the computer.
I happily own PA1x (after many, many keyboards, including i3 and i30) since 3 years, and still tinking that ther is a lot to discover yet.
But there is one Italian song "Ancora" of Eduardo De Crescenzo, that I did'not find yet the really appropriate style. What about you?
Any way. Congratulations!
Angelo

Hi Angelo,
First of my friend, it's nice to see italians active on this forum.
The demo's that you hear are styles and not arrangements at all. You can always change keys and change chords whenever you like. You have full control over the style.
Maybe people are being put off of the fact that these really are styles that you have control over. Am i wrong in saying this?
In regards to the song "Ancora" I've heard of that song before! Lol. I'll have to have a listen.

I find it very confusing that for years we have seen people screaming out for styles, and now that they get what they want, they show little interest ?.
I'm very happy to see that Arranger users are taking to the idea of using Sample Libraries even though the uptake is only a fraction of what Workstation users use, but I'm very curious to know why they are afraid to move on the Styles since that's the core of an arranger keyboard and what they use most.
It's a shame really because it could jeperdise third party support for the arranger market with styles.
I wonder is it because the styles are not general use, and are for specific use of songs they emulate ?.
Regards.
Sharp.

Hi Chris.
A professional midifile costs between 7 and 10 euro and that it's a universal format that will load into any instrument. So the people selling them have a higher rate of return due to the fact that they have a product they can sell to a wide audience. Because of this they can price them between 7 to 10 euro and make a profit.
Sal on the other hand is writing Styles in KORG format which instantly limits him to selling to KORG users only. And yet he's still offering professional grade styles for 7 Euro. I think that makes them great value.
Regards.
Sharp.
If it's on people's mind, then all I can say is 7 Euro is a bargain.Sharp, could it be the price?

Hi Sharp & Sal
For me, song specific styles are less desirable than excellent, general, all-purpose styles. That's the beauty of an arranger, to me. I love having the versatility of playing many, many songs utilizing the built-in styles. If I wanted song specific styles, I think these might be really good. However, I don't necessarily want those songs. And, with the weak dollar, more than $10 per style is too costly for me. Especially since it can only be used for one song.
I am not knocking these efforts. In fact, I applaud them. I'm only trying to explain why some of us aren't snapping these up. Just a little feedback. I do wish the best for this project.

Actually I hold the opposite view...there are hundreds of styles already in the generic categories.... But I dare you this, try and find a generic style for say, CCR's Down on the Corner for example, with THAT riff in the bassline??? Or styles with the stops and starts found in a lot of popular songs?? Or any one of a hundred other songs that will NEVER NEVER sound any good on an arranger, using generic styles.
This is why I reckon new styles should be geared toward songs.
The song styles available here are excellent quality and very VERY reasonably priced.. For me, they are simply not the songs I am looking for. Simple as that, if they were they would be sitting on my PA2x already!!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your feedback.
In regards to price, as Sharp says, 7 euros is a pretty good price considering what your getting. Also please bear in mind that these styles can take me up to 1 week to create which is quite a long time. Obviously I need to understand that a lot of people dont play these particular songs, in which case if you give me a list of songs that you do play, maybe I can start creating them for you.
I have just finished another 2 styles based on the songs "I heard it through the grapevine" and also "Let's stay together" from Al green.
I will also discuss with Sharp if it's possible to offer deals when purchasing 5 or more styles for example.
Thanks,
Sal
