Triton -> M3 sng files

Post by Unitary »

Hello! I upgraded from Triton classic to M3 a while ago, and I can't be the only one to have done this. Is there a converter or something for to make my old sequencer arrangements work on the M3, importing sng or mid files from Triton? And without losing parameter settings, filters, insert effects, sounds in sequencer mode?

Can this be done, I'm desperate for a solution guys

Thanks in advance

Your not the only one asking this but this is one hell of a board to ask anything. Very passive community I think.
I'm afraid this is impossible due the fact that there are different numbers of effects etc. and they are built differently.

Ok, that's a shame since the insert effects are really essential when using the sequencer. But one would think that the same control data, filters etc, should be applicable on both machines?

There is no such converter.

You'll have to save Triton's sequences as SMF, load them to M3 and recreate effect, track (including program in track) settings etc.

To make things easier, make sure you assign programs in PROGRAM mode at same locations as on Triton. For example, if you used some guitar that was saved in B060 slot on Triton, you have to store similar guitar in B060 slot on M3. Cause sequencer remembers slot position in track, not program itself.
There is also drum kit issue - if you made user drum kit, you have to recreate the same drum kit (same samples on same keys) on M3 in order for your drum lines to work correctly.

Nice, ha?
