songbook & bits

Post by shergy »

Hi, have just got my PA2x today and am sort of enjoying it ( I have a Tyros 2 and an roland e-80) the Korg is very different, can anyone help with a few questions, I cant seem to find the answers in the manual.
1 on songbook I have 409 entrys and most are spanish, is there any way of removing all entrys and going back to factory defaults.
2 there is talk about a guitar mode but nothing in the manual, where is it.
3 final one, using the mic is there a setting that does a pitch correct, none of the menus show one (you might have guessed I cant sing intune so need all the help I can).
Thanks in advance.

Pete

P.S. I have sold my Tyros to buy the PA2X

Hi Pete

Good decision. I did the same thing.

1. I suggest you install the latest OS 1.11 and resources. That will give you the factory defaults.

2. In the English OS Version Guitar mode is discussed on p119

3. There is no pitch correction on Pa2X. We all have to keep going to vocal lessons. :D

This is a very helpful forum. Best wishes.

Hi
Thanks for the reply, I hope the keyboard lasts longer than the manual, it has fallen apart already....
Dissapointing about the pitch correct as there was an upgrade for the pa1x that offered it.
I'm beginning to enjoy it now but still find the Roland and the tyros easier to navigate.

You will need patience to learn all the goodies in the PA. Yes, the Yamaha and Roland are easier in a way (depends what you are used to) but the PA is VERY flexable and can do many things the other two cannot.

There is set of DVD's available that will also help (see sticky)

Hi.
Yes you can delete all the entries of the songbook, you can load another songbook, some are available on the web, and you can put in the songbook as many entries as you want.

There is a songbook editor for PC. Usefull to move, delete entries, create user lists, and mix two songbooks.
Best
Alex
