Dear all, I have a HUGE problem can you HELP please.

I have naively loaded a Pa800 set in the Pa1xpro keyboard. As it loaded, the screen had frozen. I have TURNEDED ON AND OFF MANY TIMES but the screen wont came a live it wont come on.

CAN ANY ONE HELP PLEASE ????

When I switch it on it start loading to turn on, but as it starts to load PCM data it gets stuck and freezes. I cant get to the normal screen to make changes or to load another file.

Hi NAJ .

First , you have to wait - (no panic) - untill the PA1x pro will says - memory is not enough ... then go and load your own SET .

If it says nothing for one or two hour - you have to "update" your PA1X pro with pushed intro1 button ... maybe you have to reload Musical Resources too ...

I hope you have saved you last SET .

Hi Lika,

First of all, thank you very much for replaying.

When I switch on the power it start to load up, as it start to load the PCM data after a few second it just jams-freezes and don’t do anything. I can’t get to the normal screen to make changes or load up other set.
I wish the keyboard had some sort of a switch or button to reset the keyboard like the PC/Computer.

Don’t know what to do ????

Hiya NAJ.

Use floppy-disk to re-install your OS...and press "Intro1".
After this you will have to re-install your own backups.
Easy!

Firstly may I ask: why are you using the diagnostics software? It is not advised unless you have a problem and also know what the diagnostics mean. They are designed for Korg Service engineers.

This means that it cannot find valid ROM boards in your PA1XPro. If you do not have ROM boards installed, then you have nothing to worry about. Example of ROM boards are the EXB01 and 02 (Piano and Latin boards).

Pete is absolutely right Dalal.

However as I explained in your private e-mail, this might be something more serious.
However if you do not have any other errors than freezing, I suspect there might be a loose cable, either Floppy/HD or leading to your ram-banks.
I'm sorry if you have mentioned this before, but have you installed memory? (RAM)
