R3 Won't Turn On.

Post by James Dean »

Hey all.

I took my R3 to school today for an assessment, i set it up and came back and it wouldn't work (note a teacher was in the room, no kids would have destroyed it). I switched powerpoint sockets (not actual adapter) and gave it a rest and everything, i plug in the adapter and flick it on at the wall but nothing at all happens.

Please can someone help me urgently. I need this for my assessment, i'm in my final year.

Thank you.

well, i took it down to the store and the guy said that someone has walked past tripped (most probably) on the power cord forcing the to "yank". This in turn broke the metal on the inside of the power input cause it to break off and disappear.

$80 AUS to fix.

Now its gone, for a week, im heartbroken. lol.

You're lucky the R3 didn't get thrown to the floor. So did you run the powercord across a walkway? That's an expensive lesson that you should only learn once, but you probably got off light compared to the worst.

technically yes, but that walkway went to a broken door and an area which students of that class are not meant to be near.
