D888 MIDI sync

Post by Greenman99 »

How do I sync the D888 to a MIDI sequencer? I want to record backing tracks for live use and be able to edit them later: sequenced tracks, click for drummer, audio tracks. The manual mentions briefly that the D888 can run as a master MTC unit and how to switch that on; what do I need to know to ensure I can record in sync with my sequencer (Windows Vista laptop, Cubase & Powertracks Pro software)?

I know that once I record my tracks and start using them live, I'll find that I need to change the balance or sounds on the sequenced tracks, so I must ensure they are recorded on the D888 in sync.

I don't need midi sync myself, so can't help you there. But maybe you could ask in the other forum: http://www.studiotrax.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=160
