I play very often using an external sequencer on a Mac running Logic and midi files : I play melody and chords and the sequencer plays other tracks.
The tracks I play are muted.
Sometimes some notes keep on playing and I have to use the Shift / Play-Stop keys to run an "All notes off".
If I play only with my PA1x it never happens.
Any idea of the origin of the problem ?
Thanks for your help,

In which modus do you play?

I use Logic 7 express and now Logic 8 express.
I do not wish to change my seq-software as the Logic score is very good and displayed in a full page, with a vertical green bar showing the tempo.
Does this answer your "modus" question ?
Best regards,
AL,
No,
do you play in
-style-play
-song-play (that´s what i choose)
or
-sequenz-modus ?
Next step - try a tool like midifile-optimizer - only to test if it happens there too. Maybe some resets will not send correctly by Logic or the Midifile is not for the Korg and has too much events inside for other keyboards.
Hope that helps a little bit.

I have the same problems with Logic Pro 7 & 8.
I've never really tried to get to the bottom of it but I do wonder if the key off data is getting lost when there's a lot of info.
I can recreate the problems just by playing a quick part with the events playing via Logic.
I've worked around the issue by having local on and not transmitting via MIDI for the tracks I play so the notes are not played via Logic.

Of course I mute the tracks I play.
I must take a deeper look, I cannot say if it happens always withe te same projects, at the same beat...
It is difficult to detect as sometimes you realize it happens only when the song ends.... and also some days like to-day it nevers happened in 2 hours of work and other days it happens very often...
Very tricky, need method to find out....
