dear friends

I am a korg user of long time and I do not make more confidence at korg as before

it is true that the korg its the best and they can fix any problem less than a week and believe me but what do you not understand
is the politic of marketing I will explain :

it's like a drug seller: the first time it gives you free, and after he made what he roof and some body can preuve me if a former pro user can change this company
marketing marketing marketing

look korg give you a new functions which does not yet work 100 percent what you always hope that they leave you suits them and always let you to think about upgrading the machine

but what korg must understand that this method is finished and move seriously if it wants to keep his customers

funny discussions in several threads going on here.

First of all, nobody is forced to upgrade his/her pa2xpro with a new version, the actual one is running nicely. When purchasing the keyboard, nobody bought an option to get free versions later on for free, I for shure did not.

So even if we desire certain functions and capabilities, since we receive free updates I don't see the point in demanding anything at all. If a new version contains only one function I can use, it's already a win.

Pa2x and Pa800 customers spent anywhere from $2000 to $3500 to purchase their keyboards and yet Korg is offering a free upgrade and it's optional whether you want to download it or not. On the other hand we buy cars ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 and our cars have computers as well, but we never ask our dealers for updates and there are a lot of updates that are available, if you don't believe me ask any auto mechanic at a dealership about PCM or ECM updates and you'll know. What I'm trying to say, is if you're happy with your keyboard don't even worry about what's coming out. Remember any piece of electronic in our lives that has a Chip could be updated but doesn't have to be updated. Just my 2cents.

That's not entirely true...there are some people that have had problems with the current OS. Crashng during LIVE shows...that HAS to be fixed....

Korg hopefuly has that stuff fixed for OS2 or their may be a lot of folks leaving the Korgs...

Hi Lee

Just out of curiosity, what dos your PA2XPro do when it crashes - power off? freeze? etc
and under what conditions does this happen.
How often does it happen?
Can you reproduce the problem or is it completely random?

Just curious - people talk about "crashing" but I have no idea what they mean - in real computer terms, a "crash" means it is no longer running.

Mine has never crashed, but I don'y user any user sounds or I have not created styles that use user sounds. I beleive that is an area with the most problems.

Crash means freeze..as in you have to restart the board.
