XVP-10 and AX3B pedals issue?

Post by silenceradelaide »

Hi all, firstly I apologize for posting this in the wrong section but there wasn't one for pedals, so please excuse me.

I've had for ages an AX3B Korg bass effects pedal, simple unit it has an input, an output, and a pedal socket for an expression pedal.

I just bought a Korg XVP-10 expression pedal to use with it. It looks great, but I can't connect it up? The XVP has 2 inputs, 2 "Expression" outputs, and a tuner out.

Since the AX3B ONLY has a single socket marked "pedal" and the manual shows only a single cable going to the pedal, i can't get it to work as an expression pedal? normally the bass goes into the AX3B, and that goes to the amp, so I dunno where to put the expression pedal in the setup, or which ports to use as the new pedal seems to require 2 cables where the effects unit only has room for 1.

If i run the bass into the XVP, and then out into the AX3B, works fine for volume... but i bought it to get decent wah sounds etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for readin'.
