Help! Power supply...

Post by popcorn »

I need help for 12V adapter for KP2.

Where it could be find online?
Or, alternatively- I need just the plug of the adapter-I have many stabilized ones here for 12 V.
What is the name or part number of this plug, so I could try to order it?
It seems not to be standart as that one at KP1...
Does anybody know?

Thanx!

Donny

according to page 11 on the owners manual (via korg.com) it looks like any DC 12v 700mA adapter will work

Thanx Damij,

my question was about the the plug (head) at the other end of the cable- that one which plugs at KP2 rear side.It seems to be very rare- Ha-ha in the ordinary shops. And as we do not have official Korg dealer here, nobody was able to help me ...but I started a tour in diferent electronic stores and one nice lady took a right head from one adapter and place it at the cable of another (Made in Holland), so it solved the problem. It seems to be weell stabilized since KP2 now is noisless compared to my KP1 which even with original adapter has very high level of noise...for studio purposes.
Anyway that standart head of KP2 and KP3 is diferent than any other Korg devices I have here as Microkontrol or KP1. Somebody told me today it is Sony standart for their laptops, but a bit smaller. I don't know.....So be careful and don't lose your adpapters.

I can't stand it when those plugs go bad. Do you know if it's the same as the KP3?

I live right next to an electronics part store, and I can bring mine over to compare. If you can't get one locally, I'd be willing to post it to you too if you want.

Let me know,

Hi Fierball,

I checked the Future Music mag issue 180 from 2006.There is an article about KP3 and big photo of KP3's rear panel- it is the same plug.

It's strange that this plug is rare inordinary electronics part store.

Thanx!

m-audio OEM adapters(firewire soundcards) will work perfectly, just change the head
