M50 Keyboard Touch Sensitivity

I was checking out the specs of the new M50 for information concerning it's ability to do aftertouch. The Midi implementation chart shows the keyboard's ability to send and transmit key as well as channel aftertouch.
Yet, in the specs chart it states that both the 88 and 61 keyboards do not have aftertouch.

I would appreciate some clarification concerning this aftertouch issue.

It's capable of creating aftertouch messages, but unable to perform them with it's own keybed. If you would connect master keyboard with aftertouch support to M50, on that keyboard you would be able to use aftertouch.

From the midi implimentation chart it clearly shows, with an "O", that the M50 transmits as well as receives aftertouch information. If the keyboard of the M50 doesn't transmit aftertouch information, what controllers do transmit the information?

The Roland Juno G also has a keyboard that doesn't have aftertouch: but it's Midi Implimentation chart clearly shows that the keyboard transmits as well as receives aftertouch information.

The soon to be released Roland Juno Stage is currently taking a great deal of heat for not having an Aftertouch keyboard. Same specs in the MIDI Implementation chart.

Aftertouch
Channel aftertouch [Dn, vv]
(n: channel, vv: value)
When this message is received, the aftertouch effect will be
applied. The assigned alternate modulation or dynamic
modulation effect will also be applied.
- The keyboard of the M50 itself cannot transmit
aftertouch. Aftertouch can be received only from the
internal sequencer or from MIDI IN.
- Aftertouch reception for the entire instrument can be
turned on/off in Enable After Touch (Global 1–2b).
- In Combination and Sequencer modes, aftertouch can be
turned on/off independently for each timbre/track
(Enable After Touch Combi/Seq 5–1–1(2)c).

Actually I've got the same problem with the X50... It's stated EVERYWHERE, (even on the box) that it has aftertouch... it's even there in VST editor... BUT YOU CAN'T USE IT... A very ugly lie I must say...

Actually, if you load a Standard MIDI File that contains aftertouch information, the seequencer will certainly send it out.

Also, it's possible to create aftertouch data in the sequencer from scratch.

So there is no lie - if the documentation ignored the above and had a cross next to aftertouch transmission, then THAT would be incorrect!

All the documentation clearly states that the keyboard itself cannot produce aftertouch.
