URGENT, please help. Recording sounds to PC from R3

Post by salvo »

Hi all

I'm new to the forums and synths in general. I am thinking of getting an R3 soon and I'd like to know what cable I need to record the audio (not midi) from my R3 to PC at best possible quality. I read somewhere that there is no digital output, and I wasn't sure what exactly that meant so I needed to ask.

Sorry for the extremely noob question. I just need to know if it's possible to record the audio as played (any sound I make on the R3 including those using the vocoder, mod sequencer, arpeggiator etc.), in high quality for use in ableton and cubase.

My soundcard is M-Audio Fasttrack Pro USB, can I use an audio jack to connect R3 to my PC and record the audio right away (after doing the sound setting sof the pc of course)?

Is this really that hard to answer? I need an answer soon, I need to order the R3 within this week, but if I can't record the audio to my PC it's useless to me.

Anyone???
