Where is the Distortion (function) button on the Radias

Post by Varand »

Hey guys I'm a MS2000 immigrant and I converted some of my sounds with success but most of my sounds use the distortion function in the amp section. I can use the Distortion effect in the effects section but it doesn't sound the same. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thank you

It's still in the amp section, it's called Drive.

Along with drive, there are other distortion functions accessible via the menus. - decimation, hard clipping, pickup simulation, and a host of waveshaping and sub oscillator options.

Put the Radias into edit mode, then twiddle the drive knob. Then you can select either Drive or WaveShaping. Scroll downwards to see the other options.

"HPF Gate" is the button you're after.

What sort of distortion did you want?

Press "HPF GATE" as shown below until the "Drive" LED is lit, and then tweak the red knob for the drive (distortion) amount.

If you want to use other distortion models, you toggle the "HPF GATE" button again and the LED will switch to WS (wave shape) mode, where you can choose from another distortion model (via the LCD in Edit mode). Again the knob will affect the distortion amount.
