using triton extreme as a controller

Post by Luke672 »

OK so I have discovered various sampling programs where the libraries are way too large to import into the extreme eg kontakt, kore player etc. I have discovered how to use the extreme as a controller by hooking up the extreme to the PC and operating these programs. However when I do, the sound comes out via the PC and not the keyboard. Is there any way to have the sound come out via the keyboard so I can record these sounds on the triton sequencer? Would I need to use a midi usb cable?

Can someone please help me with this? I have recently purchased a usb midi interface cable and have plugged it in but the sound still comes through the pc and not the keyboard. I have turned local off via global settings.

Sound is audio. Midi is not audio. If you want to record the sounds from the PC on the Triton, you need to hook the audio output of the PC to the audio inputs on the Triton.

conect audio out of the pc you are controling to the Tritons audio inputs, then go to global and select sampling/input and an 1 &2 and record as in track sampling... i guess... use a large/fast compact flash card to record to.... thats one way.
