Mistake With Installing Producer File Onto XPanded

Post by The Claw »

Hello again. If you remember a few weeks back I was a bit confused about the Xpanded Upgrade and not long after I received responses I installed it onto my M3. However, I think I may have made a mistake with reinstalling the Producer file to my M3 so I could keep the sounds organised the way they were before I installed to 2.0 as I can't seem to find the new Piano sound that replaced the old one in bank I-A 000. All the other EX sounds were placed Bank User E except for the piano sound which seems to have vanished. Did I screw up?

Yes, you did... but no biggie.

The V2 Xpanded M3 has already been converted to a Producer order so you don't need to reload that older file. Go back to the Factory Preload method that came installed with the 2.0 upgrade and you'll be fine.

Global Mode - upper RH menu - Load Preload/Demo data, select only the sounds, not the demos.

Cheers mate, I got it back but I don't like how the files have been organized in the version 2. Call me picky but it's not exactly perfect eg. all the piano/keyboard files took up the entire Bank Int-A with the Producer but now they don't. Also my Sequencer files don't correspond to the right sounds anymore. I know there's supposed to be a converter for this but I don't know if it's even available yet.

Also what happened to the 30+ Vocoder tracks that used to be in Bank Int-E when the Producer file was installed? Do they get replaced with something else?

AFAIK, all the sounds are there, only in different order.
Go in search of them ;)
