Syncing Oasys to external MIDI clock?

Post by Carbon111 »

Syncing Oasys's Karma to external MIDI clock - How do I do this? I need to use the MIDI out from my DAW as master clock. So far I can only find the Oasys internal clock as a timing source for Karma drums and arps.

Probably I'm missing something obvious...

Global -> MIDI -> Clock = External MIDI... and make sure your DAW is transmitting clock output to the port the Oasys is on?

That's it, I think...

Thanks! I'll check it when I get home tonight. I was scouring the Karma section of individual patches.

Funny though, I do remember looking at the Global section before and not seeing external clock...

I think that's it - I fairly regularly do MIDI dumps from Protools which I use as a sequencer into the Oasys' sequencer, which I use for live playback.

Yes External Clock setting is definately in Global Settings Mode, on the MIDI page. I often use it to sync the O to Cubase SX, but you have to also set the midi port out that the O is set to in the sequencer to send Midi clock out to the O.
