Could anyone confirm this R3 problem?

I have just recorded some audio & midi in cubase. When i twist some knobs the KORG R3 sends out midi CC# messages, but when i record them in cubase the same parameter value is being sent out as SYSEX data at the same time. This is very troubling for me! If i want to redraw the CC# data the SYSEX is still there and takes alot of time to erase inbetween the notes in list editor.

I can see no point in this behaviour and it is the first VA synth that sends midi CC# and SYSEX at the same time. Could anyone confirm this behaviour by recording some knob twisting and looking at the recorded data?

There is a menu where you can disable SYSEX and this works, problem is that all of a sudden i cant use the MIDI DUMP function to dump my sounds in the sequencer.

Why is it like this? I want to be able to use the MIDI DUMP function but not having the knobs spew out SYSEX the second i touch them.
