Patch Request - Album Leafish Lead and Bass

Post by Sunday Radio »

I wonder if anyone can accomplish these sounds - I'm new to the R3 so I'm trying to figure it out at the same time.

The lead I'm looking for sounds almost "bell" like but has hints of piano and some sharper wave forms. The bass portion is probably just a fat basic analog bass

Example: The beginning of this song:

thanks, that was really helpful. I had no idea what an electric piano sounded like.

I'm glad you didn't leave a comment such as "try starting with a sine wave on OSC1 and an XXXX wave on OSC2 and go from there" or "try using one of the electric piano waveforms on DWGS."

Hi there Sunday,

Try using one of the Synth PCM waveforms as an oscillator, instead of the classic saw/pulse/sin/tri.

There are a few electric pianos and organs in there.

Thanks. I just got this thing yesterday so I'm still familiarizing but I think I figured it out.

In case anyone's interested, I started with the Wurlitzer EP sound and modified the waveform to use either electric piano 1 or bass 2. I kept FX1 as tube and added some distortion afterwards. Pretty darned close.

I really like this thing so far.
