KP3 or Kaossilator

Post by talstal85 »

Hey all

I'm thinking about buying either a KP3 or a Kaossilator and wanted to know if someone could help me out with deciding which one to purchase.

Money is no object and I am new to this so your response is appreciated.

Many thanks.

If you don't say what you want to do with them, nobody can tell you what to purchase. If you don't know, then don't buy anything.

I just want to make beats but also be able to store them. What is the KP3 designed to do?

The Koassilator has a temp memory... unfortunately you can't save loops or sounds. But if you want a mobile synth (and you have some other sampler where you can save your loops) - it's a great funky tool! 8)

Guitar Center has a cool deal: Korg KAOSSILATOR and KAOSS Pad 3 (KP3) Bundle

Have fun!

Are you gonna get the bundle? Or just the Kaossilator? :)

The bundle seems like a better idea considering after time I'd buy them both separately which would cost more. I'm just going to look if another online store has it for cheaper.

you wont regret it! i suggest watching youtube videos of both items to see what people are doing with them.

and when you get the kp3 youll also need a CF card to save samples onto

I would recommend getting the EMX-1 first.
Then the ESX-1.
Then the R3.
Then the KP3.
Then the Kaossilator.

The EMX-1 gives the most power for the money.
