Zero 4 (1.6) and Traktor Scratch Pro (v.1.02.011) Help

Post by spreadpanic »

I finally got my Zero 4 in the mail today, and I also purchased a Traktor Scratch Pro Upgrade kit as well. Had a great deal of difficulty updating the system on the mixer. So I did this on my sisters MacBook, where it was easy. I know for a fact that the mixer does however sync w my dell. The firewire light on the mixer lights up when it is connected, and I had absolutly no trouble with installing Edit and the Drivers. With Traktor Scratch however, I am having a lot of difficulties.
It is pretty amazing how horrible the manual is for the TS upgrade kit, no help whatsoever. But anyway, I installed TS, and under the Audio Settings of Preferences I selected the Korg ASIO Driver. Under Audio Latency there is no "Zero 4/8 Input Mode", despite what NI says on there help website.
Anyway, I have have the Output Settings under Preferences undoubtedly routed correctly, and Under the Timecode Setup Preference The Channal A does show that it picks up a signal when I spin the control vinyl.
I have tried everything. Both decks are set to scratch control. Yet the only sound I get when I spin the vinyl under Phono is the control tone.

If anyone could lend me there expertise I would greatly appreciate it. I was really excited to get this mixer but the problems that are already occurring w updating the mixer's system and getting Traktor to work are making me weary of my investment.

as it turns out apperently dell and firewire ports have a history of problems. attempting to run any audio through the mixer fails. Sound comes through but is very distorted, crackly, and skewed, despite adjustments in buffer size. If anyone has run into this same problem please let me know..
