It's good to see this place with it's 8th birthday. Forums don't usually survive for very long and this place just goes to show how much of a sense of community and family that is here.

Thanks guys much appreciated !

As Sharp says we do a lot to keep things running, all for free (we get ZERO for doing any of this). We invariably end up fixing things or doing major roadworks at the most inconvenient times and with little notice. In recent times I worked over night repairing problems straight after a long and hard day at work, and it means a lot that people (our members at least) acknowledged these efforts.

Really I'd like to add a lot more features to the site and forum, but that effort has been hampered by many tedious things such as fending off spambots and having to dilute our content to suit our sh*tty server arrangements. To be honest, running this site has been getting increasingly unrewarding because my efforts to do things well are invariably spoiled by 'silly stuff' and there isn't really the opportunity or environment to do the job well.

So as you can imagine, I REALLY appreciate people's words of appreciation and support here !

Hi Daz,

Well I missed the short outage, and it is easy to take it for granted that the site will be functioning 24/7/365. A major muchas gracias for keeping us pumped up!

So I am wondering what can be done to improve the situation from a maintenance standpoint?

Well, I love this site, and find it the best place to discuss Korg related. It's well moderated and virtually spam free. Not an easy feat, I've belonged to sites about gadgets I've purchased and there's porn ads and viagra and the whole shebang. Thanks guys, this is a true oasis.

I've been a member here for quite some time, and over the years I've seen some of the "silly stuff" (not nearly all), that Daz especially, has had to deal with, and I'm always very impressed with the speed, efficiency, and class, with which he manages to maintain when dealing with it.

Great job Daz, and Sharp, and congratulations on 8 years, that's just short of incredible!

Warmest regards,
