How can I contact Korg Italy support ???

Post by hanizh »

Hi,

I'm try to get information about how to create protected USB SET so I can sell my set without the fear that it can be distributed without my permission.

I know this should be done with coordination with KORG Italy but I could not make a contact with them.

I spoke to KORG USA which seems doesn't know anything about this issue as they said it is a matter of me protecting my USB , but it is not , this is something to do with the arranger OS to decrypt the SET , specially the PCM data.

Can somebody help me where to start from ? specially tramannoni from KROG Italy.

Thank you very much.

My 2 Cents.

:? I would hate to see you devote lots of energy into this because a License agreement would likely be very expensive and it will accomplish nothing other than forcing you to drive up the cost of your product. A cost that your honest paying customers will have to pay for and for what ?

Copyright Protection DOES NOT WORK and it would only take an individual minutes to clone your Memory Stick and upload it to Rapidshare.

The best way to protect your software from being used illegally is to sell it at the best and most realistic price you can. If it's worth the money, people will buy it.

See this post:

I had a very similar situation.
Sharp: So far, the protection is working and no one has come out and said that they were able to break the protection. It seems like the protection uses a hardware key. So even if you copy the software contents to another usb. you still have to insert the original usb so your PA can read the key.

Hi marlo74.

I've already banned 4 people from this forum who not only managed to copy protected USB memory sticks, but they had completely removed the copy protection and uploaded the files to Rapidshare.

I was even tricked into hosting files from one of these guys on KORG Forums who had me believe it was his own work.

I can even think of a number of cases regarding the Pa1X where a Key Gen popped up on the forums and allowed people to activate the Helicon Voice Processor without paying for it. One guy even pretended to be an authorised reseller and was giving discounts on activation codes.

Sharp,
That is new news to me. Well, it is good to know that the protection is not as strong as you want it to be. I was going to contact Korg Italy and request some more information. I had a little project in mind to do some studio recording of new samples and utilize the Korg protection to copyright our work. Knowing what I know now, hmmm, your "do not waste too much time" advice seems to be a very good one :)

Marlo , so how can I contact Korg Italy to get the details ? what is their number ? contact information ? I didn't manage to reach that.

I want to ask them how much it will cost me to get those USBs and software to encrypt .

Thank you for your help.
