Best Speaker System for M3.?

Post by mf_blues »

I'm currently using my M3M on my Roland HP103, while it sounds OK I don't think I'm getting the full dynamics of the sound so I was wondering what you guys use and what you think of the quality of the sound produced and how you are connecting, eg SPDIF, 1/4inch Jacks etc and if and what amps your using, ie. Powered Monitors or seperate amp etc.

Thanks in advance.

Currently using the Yamaha StagePas 300 both in the studio and live (small coffee house type venues). It's a portable stereo PA with 300 watt powered mixer.

I've had it for about a year now, and while it could use more low end, it's not bad overall......takes up very little space and easy to transport.

Thanks guys, I'm going to start by trying out my Tannoy M1 Speakers through a Yamaha DSP A5 Amp connected via SPDIF. It's a full 5.1 surround system with sub woofer so I just want to see how it sounds.

The Mackie MR5 look interesting so if my Tannoy setup isn't right then I think I might try the Mackies.

It's a bit of a mine field out there though cus so many people are happy with what they use and they're all different. :?

Anyway thanks again, I'll let you guys know how it pans out.

Cheers

DYNAUDIO DYNAUDIO DYNAUDIO!!!

Post by bkboy »

nothing compares to it in the price range! bm5as with dynaudio sub bm14s if you can afford close to $3000.00 or bm15as for $2400. or get the bm15p (passive) pair and add a QSC amp (with 250-300W per channel)

dynaudio clarity is amazing and only few speakers can match it: Event Opal ($3000/pair) or Equator speakers ($4000+/pair).

danish are to speakers what the japanese are to hardware synthesizers/workstations and what the germans are to software daws.
