Slaving TS to external sync

Post by pepatton35 »

I'm recording via MOTU firewire 8pre interface w/ MIDI hookups on a Mac OS X using Audiodesk. I want a setup such that my sequences in TS sync to the same time and measure counts as the Audiodesk recording software. I believe in order to do this I am wanting to slave TS clock to 'external' (my computer) through MIDI somehow? Well here is my problem: I have my keyboard connected via MIDI to interface and it is recognized by computer. I have set up the software such that it transmits and receives sync to Triton. BUT when I try to set the Triton Clock to external (Global : Clock;) The only options available are are Internal and SP / Dif.

Maybe I'm on the right track and maybe not but as stated, my goal is simply to have the time and measures in TS sequencer line up exactly with time and measures in recording software for recording drum patterns and such.

Thanks a lot for help
