Hi,
I have deleted a User style by using Media > Erase procedure, then I wanted to get rid of Samples which I had used for this style, so I followed deleting Unassigned samples procedure in Sound > Record mode.
Now, when I am sampling another loop, I realized that the samples I used with the user style I have already earased are still there in the User samples saving locaation.
So "Deleting unassigned saples" didn't really work! why ?
please help
Thanks

Re: Deleting Unassigned Samples
I too, haven't figured this out yet. Rob made a suggestion, but it's not working for me. For example, i load a 2 bar drum loop. I use it in one style. Now if i erase the user style and the drum loop. Then i "delete unassigned samples". There's no reason why PA800 should think that drum loop is still used by anything else, because "IT IS NOT". The samples are still there. Even if i load another drum loop over the previous one (or where the old one used to sit) it doesn't get rid of the samples. If i want to delete the individual samples one by one in sound mode, it's gonna take me 3 working days.chandan wrote:Hi,

Re: Deleting Unassigned Samples
My 67 MB is full and want to delete some unwanted loop samples and make space for new loops.
If i want to delete the individual samples one by one in sound mode, it's gonna take me 3 working days.
Even when I try to overwrite some loop, it still gives a message "Memory is full"

Need More RAM !!!

This may be a software defect (it happened under OS1) that I thought Korg had fixed in OS2.01. If we can prove that it is a software defect then it is a serious one that needs attention. Please follow up on this thread.
Th other way to clear sample RAM is to LOAD a new set file even if it doesn't contain samples.
Best regards,
Rob
