I think it's 1 from Korg, but some music stores can also give you an extra year.

3 years in the UK provided that you purchased your keyboard from an authorised UK dealer and register the same.

Casio keyboards have a 5-year warranty here - do they last that long?

(Only joking, but the 5-year warranty is true)

Hi,

Warranty does not depend on Korg, but on the Country the product is sold. A EU directive valid from the 2002 states that warranty of consumer electronics is 1 year from the manufacturer, and 2 years form the seller.

Not all EU members have received the directive. Frankly, I don't know if Poland has received this directive, and trasnsformed it into law. If not, the "older" Polish law does apply.

Best regards,
Paolo

Casio's need all the warranty they can get. Even though we have a quality product we really should have more warranty than what we have. It's funny that almost all electrical goods have 1 year warranty as well. One thing i do know for sure is that durability wise, older products last much longer than any of the new products.

Warranty actually is not always as important as people think.

If you have warranty for 1 year, but after 2 years your keyboard does not work anymore, you still could have the legal right to receive a complete new on or to repair it at Korgs expenses.

People just do not realise that they have MORE rights and warranty does not mean as much as people think.

A product needs to work reasonably. If it stops working reasonably, than you have the right for a new one or repair at their cost.

The question is only what is reasonable ?

One simple example: if you have 1 year warranty for your Korg in Poland and after 16 months the keys fall out. But it is not your fault, you have used the instrument normally, playing like everyone else.

Then of course Korg needs to replace them, since it is NOT normal that key's fall of a Keyboard after 16 months of playing !

That is not reasonable.

Therefore always remember that people have MUCH more rights than people sometimes suspect.

Hope this helps to some just remember: every case needs to be seen individually.

You make a general statement here that could apply to any product however
I think the real question is "...can you afford the legal fees... !!!" - you may not necessarily win the case.

I know Pete, but that is a different question. Even with 1 year warranty you could ending up needing a lawyer :)

I just thought people should know what I just wrote. Getting your rights and the expenses is some topic that exceeds this forum.
