how do you assign favs, no mention in the manual surprisingly?

is that even a feature of the XL? never heard of it. i thought you just turn the dials to choose patches and that's it.

Just write whatever program you want to be a favorite into A81-A88, or B81-B88. Using the software editor, you can just copy a program to the clipboard and paste it to one of the favorite slots. Then you can press the info button to rename the Comment field to favorite, although that's not necessary.
