padKONTROL Native mode when midi-connected and other things

1) not usb, but midi-connected, can pK enter Native mode?

I am asking, because to try this I would need to buy a psu.


2) when pK, being connected via usb is on while starting up XP professional, it will not enter native mode later on, until I switch it off and on again

as I want to automate startup of pK and a modified Native made with max and a fe more things, I wonder if anything could be done about it - not to need to mess with switching on n off

3) in usb native mode, does it pass on via usb cable midi which it receives via midi in?
