Octaves

lol, Ive had my extreme for like 6 years now, its funny that i ask all these questions now. Okay so, using it as a midi controller... externally how do i move through octaves.. I know one can do so in the global menue.. but i wanna do it out side by pressing a button lol... The SW switches??? but sometimes they are already set to soemthing.

Yes, you can do it with switches.

Well, just make new programs in which switches will be assigned to octave up/down, instead of to something else.
