Great news!
Boy, nice day today!

Thanx Korg for this collection of sounds, I´m sure the whole OASYS comunity are delighted as all we here in the forum are., specially seeing you name this collection VOL.1

Thanx so much once more Korg.
For not fogetting the OASYS and its users.

PD: Mmm, Karma 2.2, 700 efect presets in O.S 1.3.3, and now new eXpanded collection sounds.
.... Following this path theres only one thing left, to equal the 2.0 M3 eXpanded O.S update:
Its new Sequncer editing tools.

I would like so much to see this kind of update released, even if we have to pay for it. :D

Thanx again Korg and regards.
Regards.
D.

Happy Birthday James ! :-)

These sounds are not quite my cup of tea, only a handful I'd use there, but the effort is appreciated.

As I say a lot of those are not really the types of sounds I personally like, so I don't really have a specific opinion. Some of the string sounds I will find useful though.

Would anybody know if these are the same sounds ported over from the recent sound banks given to M3 owners? I think there were a whole lot of piano and organ sounds provided to them. I'm wondering if this was a quick copy and paste ( with some tweaking ) for the O?

You're correct that these sounds are derived from the M3 XPanded programs. "Quick copy and paste" does not describe the process, however. :-)

To be completely accurate, they started life as the 512 SuperCharged campaign, which preceded the Xpanded upgrade. So that leads you to easily guess what Vol.2 will contain...

Jerry, remember that you cannot talk about future developments.

With the Vol1 sufix we understand that something will come for the O.

Hey Moderators: you'll have hard work from now.

Too early in the morning to figure out what vol.2 will contain...

Anyone here with a brain that's woken up who could help out? :D :D

I assume that (in the words of Jerry) as the 512 supercharged sounds preceded the XPanded upgrade. Then that means that the XPanded upgrade is on the way to the O. :D

That may also go someway to explaining why the O is discontinued in Japan.

The M3 is also discontinued in its original form:

http://www.korg.co.jp/Product/Discontinued/M3/

But the M3 Xpanded is a current product:

http://www.korg.co.jp/Product/Synthesizer/M3XPanded/

So, given all of the clues, the Oasys XPanded is on the way!!! :D

I must say Korg did a great job with this new soundset. Great programs. And what seems a detail really makes a difference: the Rhodes sounds with the key off function for OSC 2. Well done =D>
