Work of USB cable in Korg TR

Post by pranav9189 »

Hello,

I have just purchased Korg TR. I have installed usb drivers and all other drivers. I have also SD card of 1GB which is detected by TR. Now, when I connect my TR with PC, it doesn't show any effect in PC. In system tray, it shows only once that KORG TR is connected. I can't see a removable device, nor a SD card in the explorer. I can see the drivers are installed properly in sounds device of copmuter.

I would like to know how to transfer data from computer to SD card through this cable? Is there any software to transfer data from SD card to the copmuter and vice versa? Please reply...

Thanks,
Pranav

I have used the SD card to transfer files from the TR to my computer. The SD card and USB cable transfer only MIDI files.

So save your song in the Midi format, remove the SD card from the TR, insert it into the computer SD slot and there you can read your data. Just click on the file and it should play through Windows Media Player.

The sound will be played through your sound card and will not be actual TR sounds.

To get actual TR sounds into the computer you can connect AUDIO cables directly from the TR into the PC and into a program like Audacity.

The USB connection is used only for using your TR as a MIDI device. To get the files from the SD card into your computer, you'll need an SD card reader for your computer.
