Can I save my samples in PA2X other than USER & DRUM KIT

Post by Farah »

Hi,

I was loading few samples in to keyboard however I see I run out of USER sound space as well as DRUM kit space. Is there another place I could load the samples to, or can I overwrite the internal sounds?

Advice

I've runned out of drumkits slots! And i wish they could make one more page for it.
I know many people that have ran out of slots, and they wish one more page.

I don't know about that dude! If you could fill all those up, one more page could do very little for you. In few days, you'll be wishing another page.

As Nedim says you can delete all factory stuff if you want. Just unprotect the protection for factory stuff in global.

A lot of people have full DK slots, but only a few actually use them all :)

(there is your difference hehe)

I am not kidding, if you are able to load upto 400 user rhythms in USER 1-3 and Favorite the sure I did run out of drum kit slots as well as user sounds.

I have 256 MB of memory what do you think I should be using them for?

Anyways, Is over written the internal user and drum kits. won't that be a bit risky?

Hello Farah,

do you have an PC (or MAC) :?:
Saving Drumkits only to .DK File is forbidden after V1.51 !
Before that i placed my drumkits also in UERS01 and USER02 !!!
My Solution ist posted on the GERMAN - Forum look here (how-to)

http://foren.musik-meyer.net/korg/index ... #msg_21091

Sorry its on German only - maybe you can translate it by google or something like that ...

Workaround is: LOADING drumkits from USER01...02... still works up to OS 2.01 !!!
SO: SAVE _A_L_L_ YOUR USER01/02/DK PCG-Set on PC in a complete other Directory as usual.
RENAME one of the USERDK.PCG into USER01.PCG or USER02.PCG (under Windows using "F2" ) and load them in KEY again/back .
REMIND: You're loosing now one of the USER01 or USER02 "Blocks" ...
so chose yourself THE ONE USERxx, which isn't strong or often or completely used ! So you also have to "REORGANIZE" the loosen Sounds in this Area ... -> User01->USer02 ?! :?

And then you have to "REMAP" all revoiced Stylestracks / Songbooks / Pads ... with Reference to the "old" .DK Drumkits
After that you can delete your old DK-Set and you have 64 new places there to hold the new ones :!: ... for details ...above LINK !

best wishes
TBLECK and sorry for my GERMLISH

Hi Steven. Have a visit to Thomas's Website. He has some excellent 'gifts' for download that he has done on his pa800. Have a listen to his Improvisation's in music also. Excellent! I had the great privilege of being the first to sign his new Guestbook
