Hi Kinton. You can get the ins file for pa800 here. I think it should work OK.

Just edit the Pa800 .ins file in a text editor on your PC and change every occurrence of Pa800 to Pa500.

Hi,I've lately revised PA800 ins file to PA500 for SONAR.
You can get it here :

http://www.4shared.com/file/101232776/6 ... PA500.html

Note that all note names of drumsets has been removed because I'm working on drum maps for Sonar.I am going to share it soon .

hi khaleds,
follow this steps:
1. Options, Instruments
2. Define, Select the .ins file for PA800 (mentioned above, PA800 intrument patches & drumkit patches)
3. Assign Channel to PA-800 instrument & PA-800 drumkit (usually for channel 10)
DONE..

Hi Kinton,
Thanks for the information.
I followed the steps as you mentioned but I dont see korg pa800 in assign instrument list. I can only see general midi, roland and yamaha.
I dont really know what to do ? where do I save the pa800 instrument definition to be able to see it in the instument list .
Please help.

First you have to download from :
http://sonarmusic.ru/content/view/11/42/
(as suggested by mrniceneasy)

You can put the file anywhere you want,
just browse for the file when you're defining (importing) it to the instrument list..

I just realized you guys are using some other Pa800.ins file.

What's wrong with the one supplied by Korg/ edited by Timomusic, here?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help but I still couldn't define the instrument for pa800. I D/L the file and copied it into sonar folder but the define option in not active on mine, so cant do it.
It’s very frustrating as it’s not happening.
Any one experienced the same problem?

Please PPL, you are using the WRNG .INS file it is an old one. Have you downloaded the .INS file from Korg's web site like I said? That one works perfectly and has been extended to work with DNC sounds. I am using it with SONAR all the time.

Rob
