We've all seen him on youtube demonstrating the M3 and other Korg products at trade shows, and now you can now buy Programs/Combis for the M3 from him too !

$50/$60 seems like a LOT of money...

128 Combis and 80 Progs and if they are Pro quality dont know, i would never
offer it for that much money...a Combi and a Prog together is around 2 days of
work and thats charging like 50 cents per Combi, i dont think its a lot.

It will be a good idea to post the List of Sounds and Combi as a PDF file.

They do sound nice, I'll give you that. There are a few patches I really liked...

I wrote him last week asking relevant questions, have yet to hear back and hope I won't be ignored.

I asked for a sound list, how many involved Radias to any extent (I do not have that) & what categories they represented.

I too think $50-60 is pricy to ask considering there is only the briefest of detail and only a couple of short demos.

A buyer should be able to ascertain & know what they are getting which is reasonable! Let's hope we get access to vital info so we can make an informed decision.

Just maybe more will be offered latter on.

Shameless personal voucher in 3..2..1..

Bobby is one of the most talented musicians I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and he is EXTREMELY good at sound design. He taught me an awful lot, and there's no small amount of his heart and soul in Korg's gear. He's doing what he's really good at here. I'd certainly say his hard work is worth more than the 24 cents per sound that he's asking.

His attention to detail is really evident in his programming, and because he's a player (the best I've ever worked with), the sounds are always real-world useful. Do yourself a favor and buy 'em.

Rich, noone would understand your pain unless they feel it too, so the same
goes here, most of the buyers have no clue what it takes for a sound to be
designed and then 24 cents is too much too. I spend over 30$ worth of
cigarettes only PER SOUND or PER COMBI, forget the time and everything.

Rich. I can appreciate your position & words of support for a fellow musician, mentor and Korg comrade.

Having personally designed, sold and marketed sounds for Korg keyboards as part of their 3rd party development effort in the past I'm familiar of what customers asked me.

Understandably, since the roles (creator versus purchaser) are reversed these days I like to know what's offered, the extent a product can be used and its exact contents.

Bruce

When I posted my original message I also dropped Bobby an email to let him know we were talking about him ;-) So hopefully he might be reading all these comments.

Thanks for your interest and support

Hey all: I'm delighted to see my sounds as a topic of discussion here! The sounds are my babies: it feels good to see this project come to fruition.

In response to numerous requests, I have posted the SoundList of my sounds' names on my website: http://notechaser.weebly.com/list-of-sounds.html
I apologize for any delay in responding to individual emails from interested parties, as I have only intermittent computer access in this period of job-searching.

In the spirit of support for a wonderful keyboard, and taking into account these difficult times, I've decided to keep my initial sound offering at the permanent price of $50. (I've already started on a second volume, by the way.)

Sir,

I wish you all the best of success not only for this particular venture but especially in regards to your jobsearch. Thanks so much for taking the time to create this list as its contents clearly sends the message that Radias ownership of some flavor is a vital & integral part of utilizing these.
This will certainly give me added incentive to buy one.

I'm sure we all appreciate your willingness to share your hard work with the community and look forward to this and all future offerings.

Regards,
Bruce

50/$60 seems like a LOT of money...

Post by mikeyd »

So lets see.....128 plus 80 =208 divided by 50 =hmmmmmmm...how much a sound? The demos are very nice. I have bought other 3rd party sounds (both for my Triton TS and M3 and I won't mention their names bcause they are forum members) but after listening to the demos of these sounds they sound much better. I will be purchasing them soon.

Mr. Nelson seems to have a very good rep as well as I respect those who have spoken highly of him.
